well, ytd's concert turned out well.
the band's performance was great!
good job! (:
Mr png was conducting and all.
and Mr lum actually played together with the band!
He wore the uniform. looked weird. xP

There were performances from NCPS guzheng grp, our sch choir, CO and string orchestra.
Angela and Ansabel performed.
Mr koh also performed clarinet solo piece.

The whole concert was just plain great.

ytd's class gathering was UBER fun, even though we got all wet. lols. we went there at abt 10am. den at the tanah merah station, we got lost. lols. didnt know bus 2 or 9 go which direction will go mrs chua there. so ended up split money to take taxi. jolene had to sit with the boys. it was initially me. but they so scared i will get lost, so switched with jolene instead. xP

we watched tv there and chatted and ate alot of snacks. lols. den kim they all decided to step into the pool. we did bring our swimming costumes so cannot swim. cheryl and i were talking to mrs chua in the house. so, cheryl decided to check on kim they all. i went with her. we got to the pool and almost everyone was wet oredi. except us. xD lols. den cheryl was standing at the edge of the jacuzzi-like pool. i wanted her to b wet so i pushed her into the water! xP hehe. den jolene took revenge and pushed ME into the water. in the end, everyone got wet cos we pushed EACH OTHER into the water.

den kim and jiayi decided to do some stripping. xP lols. they took off their tops. jolene and cheryl did the same. but sth REALLY embarassing happened to jolene and yeah. everyone was practically screaming. we saw a man like looking at us, threatening to call the security. yeah. so we came out of the water. it was HOT. really HOT. and i got sunburnt. my face was RED. RED RED RED. lols. like lobster. xP

at 2 + pm, zena, ash, jiayi and me decided to go TM. cos we were wet and there was nth to do at mrs chua's hse. so we wanted go TM dry up. hehe. mich followed but she waited for her mum at the roadside. so, we didnt know what direction is to the mrt station de. so it was TAXI again. we shared money again la. at TM we didnt buy anything cos we were tired and yeah. aft that they came over and played mahjong. lols.

at night, i went to downtown east eat dinner. i FELL DOWN! so painful. and now it's swollen and i cant go for band practice. grr. OUCH. later going to west plaza to see the waddever doctor to wrap my leg up n stuff. jiayi got go before de. she say not pain. but ytd my maid help me massage until so pain lor. still say not pain. anyways, had WO practice tdy. it was the hardest practice ever apart from the first time i played instruments. cos i ran out of breaths. xD lols. i found it harder to play the tuba as i get rly breathless easily and my head was spinning. lols. hyper-ventilation.[SP?] but i could pitch my notes better. not perfectly. but better than usual. (: we got to play a new song they learnt last week. The Crusaiders[SP?] or sth lykk tt. we played 2 scale methods over n over again. lols. cos we couldnt pitch n blah blah. i blow until my lips so PAINFUL. and at some point of time i couldnt pitch G. so i missed the note by half a beat just to pitch it right. mr lum thought i kept breathing for no reason. no lor. den he said, "Tuba! ahy you keep breathing at the wrong places??" i answered, "No! anyways, back to the topic. i was ALMOST LATE. lols. i was supposed to meet kx and hweejoo at CP at 8.30 AM. but i only alighted from bus 88 at 8.29AM near the rivervale mall! i waited n waited la. hoping the 161 would come or something. but it was like 8.45 le and there was still no 161 lo. so i told kx and hweejoo dont wait for me. dont want them to b late. well, i wasnt late though. i was EARLY. by 3 mins only lah. but still, 3 mins is still EARLY. xD

we started off with mr ong addressing us. then there was this talk thingy on DNA and cells. we did a worksheet and when the presentation finished we could go for break. the teacher talking to us was my cca teacher. den i told kx is Miss NEO. den she last time say is Mdm YEO. den i tell her is Miss Neo lah. she dont believe. den today before the teacher started talking, she intro herself. she said she was MISS NEO. yay! i told you kx!

den we had hands on! wee~ we extracted some DNA from fruits. 3 to choose from. Kiwi, Banana or Strawberry. two ppl partner and choose one kind of fruit. at first, me n kx wanted kiwi. but jun min want so let her have it. we took the strawberry instead. we had to pound the fruit and stuff. the smell of the strawberry was very nice, before we added the detergent i mean. however, in the end, kx and i didnt see anything. no DNA, nothing. it was just the cold ethanol and the filtrate of the fruit.

and the 2nd DNA we extracted was cheek cells. MY cheek cells to be exact. between me and kx, no one wanted to volunteer their cheek cells. so we played scissors-paper-stone! xD the winner could choose whose cheek cells we were gonna use. at first i lost. i was like so reluctant to 'part with my cheek cells' so kx say play again. TOO BAD! i lost AGAIN! no choice but to 'surrender' my cheek cells.

it was damn gross lo. we were supposed to rinse our mouths with tap water den get some mineral water to gurgle so our cheek cells could like be in the water or sth. eww. den we must SPIT out the water. EWW-ER! yucky. anyways, we did lots of things to the mixture[my saliva + mineral water] and we ended up having a VERY VERY short DNA thing. my cheek cells too little?? xD

it was fun though. miss pey took photos. she said it was her turn to have revenge. x) lols. fortunately, she didnt take me. she took corliss and yenling though. xD
